PRISM

CCFS is pleased to announce the launch of our newest program, PRISM, to our behavioral health services. A grant from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) will helps us provide suicide prevention services for veterans, active duty military, and their family members in the Hampton Roads area.
The PRISM (Prevention Recovery & Intervention for Suicide for Military) Program will provide FREE mental health counseling and support services including outreach.

A comprehensive provider of trauma informed counseling services to children, adults, families and organizations. Our counseling services are designed to help you or someone you know face the problems of daily life and find solutions to those problems. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for each individual or family.

Our Consumer Credit Counseling Service program offers unique solutions to your financial concerns. Our certified credit counselors are able to provide professional counseling services to you in your time of need. We work with you to develop a realistic plan to reach your financial goals.

Court approved treatment for adults, addressing Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Shoplifting, and Solicitation/Prostitution. Best practice, trauma informed treatment with proven positive outcomes. Our programs are designed to empower individuals with healthy, positive coping skills and healing from past trauma.

 

CCFS is a service provider of the VA Infant & Toddler Specialist Network for the Peninsula Region. ITS strives to achieve excellence in early care by increasing the knowledge level and skills of those who care for infants and toddlers in family homes and in centers


The Center for Child & Family Services at Williamsburg provides a sample of services available at our Newport News Office. These services include: Adult Anger Management, Counseling Services, Domestic Violence Batterer Intervention Services, Servicios En Español, Substance Abuse Services, Neurofeedback, and more.


Individual and Family Counseling: The Latino Outreach Program provides families, children and individuals with professional psychotherapy services through an individual or group platform. The Program also works together with other agencies and institutions that are already serving the Latino community.


PATTS is a program developed to focus on youth learning appropriate expression of their emotions by adopting the perspective that many aggressive children have exceptional leadership qualities that need to be redirected into more socially acceptable behavior.

A variety of Substance Abuse services are available such as: New Start for Youth, a 12-week substance use treatment program; Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAPP), A gender specific and Trauma Informed substance use treatment for those 18+; and Sobriety & Safety Services, A gender specific and Trauma informed combined substance use and trauma batterers intervention therapy for those who have experienced negative impacts from substance use and the use of aggression.


The Fresh Start Job Readiness program is specifically designed to service the adult job seeker with identifiable barriers. Agency experts have diversified the program to accommodate and guide youth towards successful and developing career goals, those aging out of the foster care system, victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and the homeless. Participants are assisted and taught skills in finding and keeping employment.


We believe every child deserves a safe and loving family. We provide a number of evidence based services under our Safe Harbor Family Reunification and Preservation Program that can assist families in healing, understanding their child’s behavior and developing positive nurturing skills.


The staff at CCFS has had extensive experience in providing presentations and consultations to local agencies and we are happy to offer some of the following trainings that would be adapted to your agency needs.
