Representative Payee Services
Some individuals receiving Social Security or Veterans benefits may need assistance managing their finances. The Representative Payee Program allows a trusted organization to help ensure benefits are used safely and appropriately.
Our agency serves as a Representative Payee for the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We assist individuals who may have difficulty managing their monthly benefits due to disability, age, or other challenges.
What a Representative Payee Does
As a representative payee, we help beneficiaries by:
Receiving benefit payments on their behalf
Paying essential expenses such as housing, utilities, food, and medical needs
Managing funds responsibly and keeping accurate records
Ensuring remaining funds are saved for the beneficiary’s future needs
Providing regular accounting reports to SSA or VA as required
